The BlogRollers are all about promoting the power of female bloggers and so much of that starts with you. How long you’ve been blogging:
I started a personal blog in summer 2007 that lasted exactly one post. I started another one in January of this year to document my first pregnancy, and then another one to write about new motherhood. I’m seriously hooked!

Tell us the 30 second skinny about your blog.
Marlie and Me is about all the things I want to teach my daughter, the lessons I learn while raising her, our favorite products, plus the amusing stuff that makes it all fun!

What inspired you to start blogging?
I was just trying to keep an online journal to keep family and friends back home (Florida, Georgia, NY…I’ve lived everywhere!) posted on the pregnancy.

How has blogging changed your life?
I didn’t have a job or know anyone when we moved to Texas so blogging became a fun way to fill my time. I’ve met some amazing women online who I now call friends even though we’ve never met in the flesh. Blogging made me feel less lonely out here on the ranch.

What do you wish someone would’ve hipped you to when you started your blog?
Be prepared to have your personal life parroted back to you by the neighbors!

Give us the dirt; what’s one thing about you your readers don’t know?
I’ve been pretty open on my blogs…I’ve divulged my secret celebrity crush (John Cusack), my talent for doing things with my toes (changing the TV stations), and my embarrassing collection of Happy Meal toys (500+). What else? …oh yeah, my middle name is Almaz. I used to hate it until I learned it is the word for diamonds in Amharic, and I love diamonds!!!

The Redhead Riter: Her blog is my daily inspirational vitamin. Plus, she can string words together like a master weaver. I want to write like her when I grow up.

Gloria’s Spanish View: I love reading about her expat adventures, and she takes beautiful photos of her travels.
