The BlogRollers are all about promoting the power of female bloggers and so much of that starts with you. We’ve created our BlogRoll so that we could show you a little linky love and so that others can find you, too. Every week we choose one of you lovely Rollers (via Random.org) for Feature Friday. We believe in promoting and supporting one another and there’s no better way to do that than by shining the spotlight on as many fabulous blogs as possible.
With that said, this week’s Feature Friday blogger is Penny Pinching Diva. Once you’ve read her feature, make sure to go show her some love!

Name: Shynea
Blogs: PennyPinchingDiva.com and MorningsWithMom.com (on hiatus for a little while.)
How long have you’ve been blogging:
I have been blogging off and on since 2003. I started out with a private journal on LiveJournal (which is still online), transferred to a public blog in 2004, and then went back to privately blogging. I stopped blogging altogether in 2006 but picked it back up in August of 2008 with Penny Pinching Diva.
What inspired you to start blogging?:
Connecting with other women was the inspiration for me to start Penny Pinching Diva. I learned how to use coupons and save money and I wanted to share my “penny pinching knowledge” with anyone who will listen. Blogging was the platform that I chose because I could reach so many people all over.
How has blogging changed your life?
It has only changed my life in a positive way. I have received so many great opportunities from blogging. I have had the chance to work with a lot of name brand companies and PR firms. I was given the opportunity to speak at the Blogalicious conference that is coming up in October. I have also met a lot of great women because of blogging. Blogging has actually made me come out of my shell. Two years ago, you would have never been able to convince me to be on a radio show or host a live web show. Now, that stuff comes naturally to me and I am enjoying all of it.

What do you wish someone would’ve hipped you to when you started your blog?
I don’t think I would have wanted to change anything about my learning experiences, and failures, when it comes to blogging. Everything that I have stumbled through and learned on my own has brought me to exactly where I am at right now. I am loving where my website is going and I am glad that I have had to put so much time and effort into it. It has really paid off in the end.
Give us the dirt; what’s one thing about you your readers don’t know?
That I am really actually very shy. Unbelievable, I know. But I am so reserved that it kind of takes me a little while to come out of my shell. I will fake confidence until I actually feel confident in a situation.
Spread the love; name three blogs in your reader.
SenileMOMentia.com: The lady behind this blog is one of my best friends courtesy of blogging. Her website is so inspirational and she is an all around funny mama. She never fails to uplift me or put a smile on my face.
MomDot.com/blog: Trisha is one of the funniest, but honest, bloggers on the internet that I know of. She is not afraid to be controversial and put it all out there. The good, the bad and the ugly.
MommyDaddyBlog.com: I love Sheena. She was one of the first bloggers I started reading way back when her site was name Sophistishe. I also love the fact that both her and her husband blog on this site. You get both the mom and the dads point of view.
Thanks for sharing, Shynea!

I am beyond excited to be featured on you ladies website. I have been a fan of The Blog Rollers since the beginning and a fan of The Chatterbox show since forever. I love both of you ladies and thank you once again SO much.
