First let me apologize for the delay in getting this post up. You see…I had some video footage of my night at the MashableMixer Atlanta. I was putting together this great production with titles, music, transitions, credits…the whole nine…you know…channeling my inner Spielberg. Well, as most of you know, The ChatterBox is working with some seriously antiquated equipment and my technology fails on me daily! My movie making capabilities decided to follow suit. I have been working on my video for days. A three minute video is taking me DAYS! UGH! I no longer wanted to leave you hanging so instead of my masterpiece, I only have a portion of my footage from the MashableMixer Atlanta…
Not much to see I know. You can tell we had fun, right? We didn’t meet a whole heap bunch of folks, but we did make some great contacts and met some new bloggers who were excited about the contest and signed our BlogRoll! (Joan of All Trades was not too happy I was adding to her 4th Wheel Contest competition). We also learned about some great social media tools that I will be posting about in the coming weeks. See, this is why we do this…so we can bring you the best the world has to offer! This is still very new to me so I am learning too. I promise my roaving-reporter-on-the-scene skills will only get better with time!
Okay, so there was an after party…more like an after gathering. Sort of like when you convene at a restaurant when the club closes. Yeah, that’s basically what we did. We hung out with some of the lingering attendees and our new BFFs from Mashable and Regator. It was great coming from behind the “screen” and getting to know the people behind such wealth of internet information. They are really cool people!
The next MashableMixer is in New York in June. If you are in the area, I highly recommend you take it in! Tell Brett and Adam we said “What up!” (We still owe Brett a Karaoke date)

I hate that I missed it but am so glad that you were there mixing, mingling, drinking (ahem), and making things happen! You're such a rock star … and Joanie's pretty handy with the VADO!
